Litigation lawyer in the Netherlands
Remko has a varied litigation and arbitration practice in the Netherlands, acting for businesses, institutions and individuals. His practice includes the management of high-value and complex commercial disputes through both arbitration and the Court.
Remko often assists clients at the pre-action phase, providing strategic advice to help them in any event of a claim for negligence or breach of contract. Remko also assists clients in informal dispute resolution and in the negotiation and execution of exit strategies.
As a litigation lawyer in the Netherlands, Remko has also advised on claims for wrongful termination of distribution agreements, commercial agency contracts and other commercial agreements. Remko has dealt with claims for misrepresentation and breach of duty, as well as claims against former directors, insolvency and search orders.
Remko has represented manufacturers, importers, distributors, resellers and other players in the manufacturing industry in disputes with their contracting parties.
Remko has a master’s in law from Tilburg University (2007) and attended the International School of Law at Helsinki University (2008). In 2013 he successfully completed the specialist training course in National and International Contracting Law at the Grotius Academy.
Remko is admitted to the Dutch Bar. Further to this he is a member of DFA, the Dutch Association for Distribution, Franchise and Agency law. He is also a member of the Association for Dutch-German Attorneys.
Remko is also a lecturer at various conferences and master classes for the manufacturing industry.
Remko Roosjen has registered the following principal (and secondary) legal practice areas in the Netherlands Bar’s register of legal practice areas (rechtsgebiedenregister):

Based on this registration, he is required to obtain ten training credits per calendar year in each registered principal legal practice area in accordance with the standards set by the Netherlands Bar.
