Our Dutch corporate lawyer Renso specializes in (international) corporate law and procedural law (litigation). Renso is often engaged in matters before the Enterprise Chamber of the Amsterdam Court of Appeal and as counsel in international commercial arbitration and litigation. As a litigator his focus areas include disputes relating to corporate governance, mergers and acquisitions and directors’ liability. His expertise in and out of court makes him an excellent sparring partner for entrepreneurs and corporate counsels. Renso is a skilled litigator in summary proceedings, proceedings on the merits and (international) arbitrations.

Renso acted in the inquiry proceedings before the Enterprise Chamber of the Amsterdam Court of Appeal in the matters of amongst others e-Traction, Chinese Workers and the Slotervaartziekenhuis. As a Dutch corporate lawyer Renso has closed a large number of (international) mergers and acquisitions and joint ventures, including the sale of a prepaid card payment service provider, the participation of a French multinational in its European distributor and various acquisitions for a German multinational in the manufacturing industry. Further experience includes advising in the reorganisation and sale of a Dutch shipyard of superyachts and successfully acting in court against the tax authorities in the Netherlands.

Renso acted as attorney on behalf of an European Member State and a foreign Central Bank. He also gave a legal opinion to a Royal Family. Internationally, he has advised in proceedings before the High Court of Justice of London, the High Court of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region and the Supreme Court of the State of New York.

Since the Y2K issue, Renso has been interested in ICT law and has been following its development since. Renso has extensive experience in the ICT market and in particular in the FinTech industry, where he has advised in various takeovers and acted in litigation for payment service providers.
